Has anyone kited Dassen Island before ? (just off Yzerfontein)

I was sailing down from Langebaan to Cape Town this weekend and had a happened to have my gear with me. I had a fun little session there on Saturday evening, wind 18-20kn, inbetween all the yachts.

This wind blows straight offshore with the SE and the water is pretty flat because the land is sheltering the water in the bay. It was not gusty but the wind would drop off every so often which was a little annoying.

Otherwise I would definitely give it another go there again. Attached some pictures below:

Super cool! We have been planning a trip out there for speed sessions in big SE'r's but never managed to get it together. I think it is a first!

Great to see another spot conquered. I have been there crayfishing when there is no wind and always wondered about the potential. Only thing I would warn against is the men in grey suits, place is teaming with them, beware.

very cool dude!my folks have got a spot at yzers and we're kreefin all the time there. just remember you not allowed on the island, dunno about the sharkiness of it, news to me.
