Hi, Juanita!
Firstly, the crew at www.savesupertubes.com would like to thank you for taking part in the campaign to secure and stop developers from exploiting Jeffreys Bay any more than they already have. Juanita, your choice to take part in this campaign is greatly appreciated and you have made a tremendous difference.
We would like to give you a quick update on the current state of the campaign.
Update: There was an article in the weekend post this week (Eastern Cape Newspaper) where the town planner is quoted saying 'there's no chance that council will relax the height restriction'. This is excellent news.
Your support Juanita, and the 'Massive response' from around the world has already buckled any will for support for this application to build the 15 story building on ERF76. This is brilliant news but the campaign is not over yet.
It is midway through the campaign and we would like to hammer in the point and deliver the final push to set a president that will not be forgotten.
We set a goal to get 10,000 objections and we are currently just under 3000. To make the target a reality, we would like to ask you if you could possibly email or get just 5 people who love and have special interest in Jeffreys Bay to place there objection before the end of Sunday night 12h00 05th March 2006. That is when the campaign will end. There are 5 days left.
5 Days left- Lets make the final stand and get the 10 000 objections and give a resounding response that says 'No' to the exploitation of our town, our heritage and protect the Best Right Hand Point Break in the world. Super Tubes! Lets protect Jeffreys Bay and preserve it for many generations to come!!
