Setup Naish bar for Cabrinha kite

    Hi,

I got 2 2002 Cabrinha Black Tip C-shape kites (4 lines) this weekend. No bar though...

I DO however have a Best Waroo bar n lines, and a Naish Cult bar n lines. Both 20m I think...

What must I consider before trying one of these bars with the Black Tips?

Is this a major operation, or are bars relatively similar / able to be swapped between kites?

And could I swap between the Best bar on the Naish kite / Naish kite with Best bar? (Best and Naish are both bow style).

    Thanks,
    Richard

    Hey Richard

The BT was a 4 line kite and if the kite flew with 4 equal line lengths (some used to have longer back lines) you can use the Naish Smart Loop bar. But be wary of the depower, those kites used to fall out of the sky easily when overflying.

Also, we have quite a few guys using the Naish bar with their Waroos as it provides great, easy to use depower and releases with about 7kg of pressure.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks Rob,
Since reading this post, I've had a good look at the 2 different bars, seeing what the differences and similarities are.

I'll give the Naish bar a go (it is the smartloop) on the BT when the wind improves...

(... now the next thread I started is whether I can self-launch the 6.8m BT...)
