    HI

    Just wondering, when kiting a rad north beaster on the kzn coast and you hook a left,

    does one unhook and depower your kite? or stay hooked in and keep the kite fully powerd up? or depower in both senarios?

    De-power and ride the wave hooked in - so that you are not being pulled off the wave - and follow your kite ... filthy down winders from Umdloti - the left off Peace Cottage is fantasic !

    Awsum, will be trying that this weekend..... would you say underloop the kite when bottom turning? and going for a smash of the lip? or leaving the kite to fly down the wave in the beach direction?

    It depends on how strong the wind is - generally in lighter conditions I loop the kite - it is worth getting this move waxed as often you need to loop your kite to stay in the right place on the wave ...
